Frequently Asked Questions

I offer individual therapy for adults struggling with relationship issues, individual therapy for sex or pornography addicts, individual therapy for partners of addicts, and couples therapy. I also work with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression because of the stress of life or due to a traumatic event such as a death, divorce, illness, or a car accident.

I recommend a 75-minute session for the initial session and a 50 minute session for individuals thereafter.  I recommend a 75-minute session for couples therapy so we have adequate time to work.

In the first session I want to get to know you and see if we are a good fit. I will ask you what has brought you to therapy, what have you done to try to fix the problem on your own, such as medication, self-help groups, books, and/or prior therapy. I will also gather your family, medical, and educational history to conduct a thorough assessment to help me develop an effective plan of action. You are free to pass on any questions that you do not want to answer.

I encourage an extended initial appointment, so we have the opportunity to cover as much information as possible.  The fee for a 50-minute appointment is $200.  My 75-minute sessions are $300.00.

I am not an in-network provider because I prefer to focus my attention on providing the most effective treatment possible, rather than dealing with insurance companies. I recommend that you find out if you have out of network benefits and if you have a deductible. I can provide you with the proper paperwork to submit to your insurance company. In many cases, clients receive an excellent reimbursement rate for my services.

  • If you are threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s. I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
  • If I believe that you intend to harm yourself. I will make every effort to enlist your cooperation in insuring your safety. If you do not cooperate, further measures may be taken without your permission to ensure your safety.
